Big Ideas, Big Hope

Rosemary Chakmakjian, A member from Valley Center in Reseda, CA for over 2 years confessed that through Dahn Yoga she wouldn’t have survived her life and created a good life for herself.

Inside of her she felt that there is something she has to do, something she needs to do. Once her wonjangnim had told her the story of Ilchi Lee’s passion and the intuition of saving humanity. She was truly inspired by Ilchi Lee’s $1 Dollar Enlightenment Project (Earth Citizen) ever since it started last year.

She devised a plan on collecting $10,000 from each businesses (big or small) and convince them to donate to Ibrea. Rosemary wanted to also do fundraising like Jang Saeng Walk-a-Thon at a nearby park. Gathering a group of people, Dahn and Non-Dahn alike, who are intersted. Her creativity on using the tax deductible strategy has really fired her up. Basically when businesses donate to Ibrea they can put it in their income tax IRS as tax credit. A tax credit is a dollar to dollar reduction in the actual tax owed. A tax deduction only reduces total taxable income from which the taxed owed is calculated. Generally, you can deduct cash contributions in full up to 50% of your adjusted gross income.

On Thursday, Feb 24 she will introduce this wonderful plan to Valley Center members for their Potluck Party hoping to get many support. Stay tuned on how this wonderful plan will take place!
