TV star and author Bethenny Frankel praised the ability of yoga to work her muscles while keeping her from breaking into a heavy sweat.
Being a housewife does not necessarily entail a lot of free time, as Bethenny Frankel can tell you. A former star of the reality show The Real Housewives of New York City, she has gone on to star in her own reality series, as well as become a chef, fitness guru, author of a bestselling book and attendee of destressing yoga classes.
Frankel, who has spent more and more time in California, recently told Us Weekly magazine that she has begun taking more yoga as part of a less strenuous workout and relaxation regimen. She praised the ability of yoga to work her muscles while keeping her from breaking into a heavy sweat.
"I used to spin every day like a lunatic," she told the news source. "You know, I have a stressful enough schedule without being on some bicycle going 150 miles an hour. Yoga makes me feel better. Plus, you can do it in a hotel room or at home."
On her personal website, Frankel admits that she has been doing yoga for more than 20 years, but only recently has it begun to take the place of other, high-impact routines.
She compared the system to vegetables, which she says are good for you, come in countless varieties and are plentiful.
