Meet Anna Bjornsdottir. She's a graphic designer who taught beginner's California yoga in her spare time – and she happens to be the person who helped the FBI track down organized crime figure Whitey Bulger, according to the Boston Globe.

The 57-year-old and one-time California resident called the authorities after recognizing a photo of the Boston mob boss's girlfriend, Catherine Greig, in a CNN report, the news source stated.

However, Bjornsdottir wasn't in California at the time. Though she had lived in the Golden State for some time, she is an Icelandic citizen, and she called the FBI from its capital, Reykjavik.

She reported knowing Greig from when they were neighbors in Santa Monica. They had bonded over a stray cat, the newspaper stated. It added that Bjornsdottir has since collected $2 million from the FBI, a reward offered to the person whose tip helped track down Bulger.

This is not the first time the former California yoga class instructor has made headlines, either.

Not only did Bjornsdottir compete at one time in the Miss Universe pageant as Miss Iceland, but – for those old enough to remember – she also starred as one of several blonde models in Noxzema's famous "Take It Off" TV commercial series.
