psychic energy

Attention is your most important tool in the creation of yourself. Where we focus and what we focus on becomes the self that we develop; our consciousness. Attention is required for basic mental events such as remembering, thinking, feeling, and making decisions.

Attention is like energy in that without it no work can be done, and in doing work it is dissipated. We create ourselves by how we invest this energy. We improve our quality of life and experience by how well we use our attention.

play well with others

You cannot say you are using your brain well if you cannot learn to use your brain in cooperation with other brains. Fortunately this is really not so hard. Mutual brain-appreciation is the key to peace on every level. Rather than trying to control the brains around y ou, seek simply to play fairly.

Realize you are only responsible for your own brain, without trying to control other brains. Simply learn to take joy in the marvelous diversity exhibited in the human brain!

~ Principles of Brain Management, Ilchi Lee

“who am i?”

this simple question of identity is the one that can ultimately lead to the state defined in Eastern thought as “enlightenment” because a person who can answer that question honestly and confidently is a happy and fulfilled individual.

vibration exercise may reduce fat

We’ve been experiencing vibration exercise in Dahn Yoga regular class to release tension and restore our natural healing rhythm in the body. Now new research is indicating that vibration therapy is good for reducing the development of new fat cells.

See this article in the NY Times about the research “Low Buzz May Give Mice Better Bones and Less Fat”. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/30/health/research/30bone.html

Ultimately, we are energy; and energy is sound, light, and vibration. Makes sense that vibration of any kind would restore health to the body.

Choice and Being

Being is a more awakened state than having. To be is to exist in a space of pure choice and creation. It is a state of immense power. “I am happy. I am generous. I am…” These statements are declarations of self-evident truth. Once you decide to be, and to allow that beingness to permeate every cell of your body, then your brain has the potential to create every experience and manifestation related to that state of being. The state of true beingness is to succeed before finishing; the state of having is incidental. (Human Technology, Ilchi Lee)

illness & mind/body connection

All attitudes, thoughts, and beliefts are connected with various pathways, called meridians of energy, to all of the body’s organs. These specific meridians have traditionally been named according to the organs they energize, for instance, the heart meridian, gallbladder meridian, etc. These connections can be demonstrated in seconds. If one holds a particular negative thought in mind, a very specific muscle will go weak; if one replaces the thought with a positive idea, the same muscle will instantly go strong.

When the mind is dominated by a negative worldview, the direct result is a repetition of minute changes in energy flow to the various body organs. The function of all human physiology is affected through electron transfer, neural hormonal balance, nutritional status, etc. By the time these accumulated changes are detected through modern measurement techniques, the disease process is already quite advanced.

The invisible universe of thought and attitude becomes visible as a consequence of the body’s habitual response. Thus, all illness should be reversible by changing thought patterns and habitual responses. (Wellness and the Disease Process, Power vs. Force, David Hawkins)

Through regular Dahn Yoga training, we can learn to master and use our energy to experience natural healing in our bodies while gaining control of our emotions and habits.
