Personal growth is not always as simple as physical or mental maturation, though it certainly requires both. Experiencing feelings of aimlessness, anxiety, languor or fatigue may mean that you could stand to undergo a little more personal growth.

In yoga, the forms of personal advancement are numerous. There are the obvious physical changes that occur as the body becomes more flexible,stronger and more accustomed to deep breathing.

Then there is the less tangible mental gain that accumulates over time. Yoga practitioners who incorporate plenty of meditation and reflection into their routine may find themselves feeling new emotions, or undergoing old sensations as if for the first time.

Many insights can be attained through the practice of yoga. As the mind and body reconnect, the spirit is revealed as limitless.
